Only the screen appeals to me, but the 7R5 is $6K in my money and my 7R4 owes me nothing and most I'll get now is $3K, so for $3K and since I own an A1, I won't be upgrading and likely will wait...

I skipped the 7R3 also.
D800E > 7R2 > 7R4 > most likely 7R6.

Very difficult to justify the cost of this upgrade over the 7R4 imo, it's never been less compelling to upgrade.

Same as car manufacturers with engines, each generation has the same engine with software tweaks to 'improve' performance, fuel consumption etc.

Those silly Romans and their technology that's still in use today, mainly the plumbing that saved humanity.
