Yes, you can get excellent results using the A7R4 handheld even in low light. Don't be afraid to increase your ISO. I won't suggest a minimum shutter speed as that depends on you, your focal ...

Running Firefox (latest) under Win 10-x64 (fully patched), the Forums dropdown has the Galleries menu content: Galleries menu has the Challenges content, and the Challenges menu is empty. The ...

Thank you Richard! I love your Dia de los Muertos set too! It's not something we celebrate here, so I hadn't really understood what it was all about until your post. It's a great pairing :)

Good idea for a thread Den! Some lovely shots posted already too :) I must admit I'm really struggling to choose. I have spent many months over the years thinking about this, and still not come to ...

Some excellent shots in this thread already; well done everyone! Here's my contribution to this week's thread. In England, every year on 5th November we have Bonfire Night. An evening (or more) of ...

I'd say it depends on the landscape, and your goals? My default would always be the 24-105, but you'll have to work hard to get some unique images, as I suspect everyone else will also be taking a ...

Thank you for permission to edit. Here's my take: Sky replacement in Photoshop. Topaz Sharpen AI to bring out the detail. Dehaze in Camera RAW, and reduced exposure somewhat. Slight tweaks to white ...

The mountains and lake make a good subject matter; the rocks in the foreground are interesting, but the lighting is flat and they're lacking a specific focal point. I agree with Mike; the focus ...

Capture One is also highly regarded. I'm very happy with DxO PhotoLab myself. If you wait a bit longer DxO usually have their best deals of the year on Black Friday.
-
Interesting. If you're developing niche sensors, I don't suppose we could have a panoramic sensor for a digital X-Pan? Please 🙂

I'll upgrade PhotoLab in the Black Friday sale, as I think DeepPRIME XD is probably worth it for me.

I export from DxO as a 16 bit TIFF, then load the TIFF into Photo AI standalone. I tend to use DN/Sh as plug-ins within PS.

I like these a lot Luke. I do wonder whether some form of separation between the images would help, perhaps a narrow white or black bar?
-
That's the opposite of what I'd expect to see. I think there are several things you need to consider here. Noise in digital images can vary with exposure; with ISO-variant sensors noise is stronger ...

It depends on the image. Typically I'd run Gigapixel first, but if the source image is really noisy I might try DeNoise first.
-
In my view that's a "no" to both currently. No native PS tool can fix motion blur as effectively as Sharpen AI. The built-in PS Motion Blur tool doesn't even come close. It's a similar story with ...

To be honest I haven't tried it, because it doesn't sound like a big upgrade considering the price? I can warp in PS quite easily, and I usually edit in PS anyway. I will buy PL6 on Black Friday, ...

My experience is similiar to Sagittarius's. NR when combined with uprezzing tends to result in very plasticky and detail free images. That's not the case if I use Gigapixel and DeNoise separately. ...

Here in the UK the A7RV (body only) is £3,999 inc VAT (i.e. sales tax @ 20%). The only freebie offered is that some lenses are offered at a £300 discount if bought at the same time. That's ...

I find I use a mixture of both the standalone versions, and Photo AI. The individual applications have more control, which is helpful with difficult images. When I want a "one click" option for a ...
