This will be cool in my next phone!

They forgot to paint their logos black - Pentax wins again ;-)

I'm a big fan of this idea! Quick choices for (1) native sensor ratio, (2) square, and (3) one custom option, chosen in a menu location that's easy to access for those who ...

Ah, so a mere $2k update to my ii body :-D Glad they are doing it though! I won't hold my breath for a drop to their Playstation app store.. edit -play Memories app. Close, but not.

I'm old enough to remember when the A700 was on sale at BB for under $1k :-o right after buying the A200, that memory still stings a little. I too am now using a new-2-me A7ii, but haven't expanded ...

I was spoiled by pentax, where in playback you could crop in the usual ratios. Not 5:4 though.. maybe the 645z was their solution to that!
-
I'll see your 5:4 and raise you 1:1, and 4:3 too. Why not, given some of the other aids and automations Sony offers? Might as well throw in heif format, or something beyond jpeg..

I'm ok with the $65ish TTArtisan 50/2, so far. Had it less than a week but it's similar to their aps.c designs. Sorry, no image showing its size. A slide rule and bokeh measurements might give a clue..

In 1924 Longview made a lake to keep things interesting near the city center. Nature does well there. α7ß (A7.ii) and Maxx 100-300apo, at dusk Bald Eagle at Lake Sacagawea

but I won't exclude anyone with orc-talk like "boys" :7) I picked up an a7.ii (in me-speak, an alpha-seven-beta) with 28-70mm lens. That's not reachy enough, so I added an old favorite (70-210 ...

Camera, lens, and your vision all working well! That lens looks tempting for easy-carry days. -a- JimR near Cathlamet | https://granitix2.blogspot.com/2020/11/kit.html

I reluctantly stepped back from the K-1 but the primes stayed to work with K-s2 and μ43 bodies. I like 'em small so the M85/2 and 135/3.5 are kept handy more often than the A200. The A28/2.8 and ...

I've recently added catch-in focus to my Ks-2 routine, with good results. No guarantee that the AF module won't need adjustment for a specific lens, but my M85/2 seems to perform well this way. I ...

The Lumix 45-150 has served me well in the past, but at the long end iveI needed to stop it down a click or two. At 5.6 it wasn't ideal. I now use the m.Z 14-150ii for its weather sealing, at 150mm ...

My vote would go to the 70/2.4, which has everything I like in a lens except WR. Until I fix my K-s2 solenoid, DA lenses are off the menu; thankfully the smc- 85/2 is a nice substitute! :-)
-
Hooray, the KAF4 mount support is here at last!! Pentaxians always dream big ... :-)
-
With what I have now, it's simple enough. EM1 plus 14-150ii and TTArtisan 17/1.4 - wild card is either 50/1.4 85/2 or 135/3.5, all small + decent IQ. Dream 3rd lens would be the Leica 9 or Laowa 10.

My K-s2 was traded to a reseller with just 12k clicks. They marked as EX but sold it for a silly-low price that I could not resist. I hoped for the best but expected sick solenoid syndrome would ...

My sick K-s2 solution is threefold: (1) KAF4 as previously noted (55-300re, all modes) (2) aperture rings and M mode (F17-28, several A/M primes)
-
Nice shots! It's my K-s2 wide angle for now, since it works despite my sick solenoid in green-button M mode.
