the only thing to be aware of is that the lenses can sometimes fail

looks nice but something higher end for would be very welcome

Nikon 1 has a 1 inch sensor, so the 10-100mm will give you a AOV of 27-270mm

last time i was in or on the sea in Thailand i had a cheap Panny point and shoot is a underwater housing, it worked great, took at the end of the rainy season it survived some rough seas

if you don't need a viewfinder then the J5 has a really good sensor

stick it in one of those snorkeling bags, better safe than sorry

surely 1 is enough if it isn't moving

it's a new metric for bragging rights, take enough shots and you'll be sure to get something useable.... or... if you throw enough sh_t at the wall some of it is sure to stick

i'll be doing something different this eclipse... staying in bed

if you focus on the birds chest the eye will be in focus, that is how i do it, works a charm

i bought it about 4 or 5 years ago with a 70-200mm/2.8

i still use a D2xs, in good light it works great

in my part of the Netherlands there isn't a dedicated camera shop within 40km and the media markt no longer carries cameras

shoot often with it, you'll improve and it will help you work out what works best for you
