Comments like that one about OIS are why people eventually leave this website and don't come back.

It takes an improvement in computer technology. Believe it or not, the limiting factor is the processing required, not the sensors. 16-bit files are huge, and storing a true 18-stops of data in a...

Marketing departments at work! Of course bit depth has nothing to do with dynamic range. Any image should be considered a simulation wherein relative light levels are no longer understood to be...

My thought is they aren't trying to show how a photographer would use the lens, but they're trying to show qualities of the lens through photography. It also kind of ensures that from article to...

It might be the lights, looking at shot 46 the bokeh formations look smooth in the center.

I think it can be sent in to have that added/replaced.

The R5 has higher dynamic range according to DxO. Canon's official specs put the R5 at 14.7 stops of DR while DxO measures it at 14.6 (they just have to be different).

R5 is better but you need the RF lenses to really see the difference. R5 with EF 16-35mm L mk III @ 35mm f/6.3

I know people will flame me but... they obviously copied the R5.

We got Nikon, Sony, & Canon all beating each other over the head. Then we have Olympus, Panasonic, Leica, Blackmagic, & ZCAM all beating each other over the head. We got people beating each other...

The thing about drones is that they can be built by anyone with above average mechanical sensibilities. They have worked hard to kill the hobbyist communities that build RC planes and...

Probably true. It does seem that technology will solve most of the "problems" that make DSLRs look good. A big one is power usage. A DSLR can theoretically run much longer with the same battery. ...

Such a focus on the standard range when they've already beaten it like a dead horse. 15-35 f/2.8, 14-35 f/4, 28-70 , 24-70 , 24-105 f/4, 24-105 f/4-7.1, 24-240mm f/4-6.3... In primes, already with ...

Pretty sure that EF mount is dead. Canon might just keep DSLR's alive, but they will probably change the mount if they do another DSLR. Why? They'll update DSLR's to do all the things mirrorless ...

It matters but is easily removed. Canon cameras offer "diffraction correction" for this purpose. It can be turned on and off.

Well, they fixed it and it works properly now, perhaps a little bit better than before. Hard to say as I didn't have it too long before I foolishly let it roll off my desk. I'll have it for a big ...

It may well be the case. It seems that when the lens fell, this started happening. Regardless, Canon has determined that it must be repaired, for a chunk o' change but end of the day I'll be happy ...

If a camera has a profile it can be applied in camera to the video. Yeah, I can see why you'd want to do that. Logic would dictate that if you have to choose between having a lens and not having a ...

You're forgetting all the things the RF 24mm has that none of the other lenses have. .5x macro, and image stabilization. Doesn't it get like 7 stops of stabilization? 7 stops at 24mm... That's at ...

For a "do it all" type lens 35mm is too narrow. That's probably why they went with 28 in the new version. For an amateur wildlife photography lens the 35-350 is probably better. But something like ...
