Not everyone lives in USA, the vast majority are paying far more for Canon than Sony. Canon doesn't give a crap about any market but USA and I know this for a fact, I worked for them once.
-
Same in Australia too. Canon Australia total rip-off. Our dollar is quite strong against the Yen and no savings passed on at all by Canon.

What happened to the wonderful Samyang 135 f/1.8, outrageous it is not mentioned. Much smaller and lighter than the Sigma, optically excellent, and even cheaper. As for the Canon, nearly $4K in...

The 1D did not have 1/16000s read speed. The x-sync was limited to 1/500s. A true global shutter would have allowed any sync speed. The sensor was exposed at once but you could not read the charge...

I'm whelmed at best. What Canon giveth with one hand, the cr!pple hammer taketh away with the other. The one thing that looked good, rolling shutter was very well controlled at least in stills...

I've seen 8K 77" TV's with 1.5kW energy rating, that's absurd. Imagine the 83" and now 90"+ version, we would be looking at 2.5kW+. Pointless resolution.
-
I'm talking for stills, not video. 1/55s is 18ms. Let's see the A7IV use ES for action with it's 1/30s 12 bit scan rate

Anybody that actually shoots wildlife or sports for a living would be a far better reviewer. Sorry Jordan.

Canon thinking of the environment by recycling 90% of the R6 for the R6II, much applause. Well at least price didn't rise cough Sony cough. I wonder what the sensor scan speed is now. Current R6...

They also don't want their name on gear they don't control. They can't stake their own reputation on someone else's product. I wonder what Sony thought about letting the same company that bought...
-
No chance, same company that utterly trashed the VAIO brand name by producing crap laptops and trying to cash in on Sony's success by keeping the name.
-
Firstly not talking about DR, it hasn't improved since A7RII and that was only a slight bump over A7R. Noise is much worse even normalised to 42MP it's clearly worse. Amazing how reviewers are...
-
You should be comparing it to the A7RIII as well. I know many people that had no interest in the A7RIV. IMO A7RIV was just not enough and sensor noise is far worse and IQ only improved a small...

Nothing looks more ludicrous than seeing people out in the wilderness using iPad to take photos let alone shoot videos. I'd much rather they took away the camera and dropped the prices a few...
-
Indeed isn't it the same company that brought VAIO and trashed the brand name. I know it has Olympus camera employees (former?) working on the cameras but this is hopeless update. I sold out of...

Hey look same EVF specs as my original EM-5 from what 2011 or so. Well done.
-
Yes atrocious as they said
-
Um you do know it's only for playback, as soon as you half press the shutter button it drops to 5.76Md, same as the A7RIV. A HDR high refresh 5.76Md EVF would have been far more desirable. The...

Ouch atrocious rolling shutter. If Sony can't build a faster sensor maybe they shouldn't have gone to 61MP. A7RIII sensor was plenty of resolution.
-
Funny how the Sony fans don't see the ridiculousness in their statements that A7RV is high resolution but somehow the R5, with nearly 46MP isn't. Also why put amazing tracking AF in a camera that's...
